Youth Services

Youth Services serves our littlest patrons up to our  teenage patrons.  There are Board Books for those with little fingers, Easy Readers for those just starting out on their reading journey, and comfortable loveseats and chairs for teens to crash and read their favorite book, graphic novel or 'zine. Special programs and events, audiobooks, and children's computers keep everyone entertained! Don't miss out, come join the fun in Youth Services today!

Baby Play group and Storytime will end the last week of April, but they will resume June 30th!

Summer Reading Program

The SRP starts the last week of JUNE!
This year’s theme is
"Catch the Reading BUG!"

Art in A Suitcase!

On March 6th, at 6 PM, artist Mary Tooley with Hatch Public Library will present an educational program about Claude Monet. Participants will create 'Monet's Garden' on one wall in the Library! This is a free program for families. Mary Tooley has a website for more info see www.ArtInaSuitcase.com

The Holiday Train is Coming!

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is coming to Mauston again this year on Sunday, December 9th, at 7:45 pm, at the Division St. railroad crossing. A live concert, food by the Peace Presbyterian Church, and games for the kids. Bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the local food pantry.

Read to Rover, sponsored by Carl W. Nelson Animal Shelter, is done for this fall- Thanks all who participated! Pictures may be found Here...

Read to Rover is a literacy program designed to enhance your child’s reading skills. Children have the opportunity to read their favorite books to a certified trained therapy dog---and the dog loves to listen! A child that may be hesitant to read aloud in front of his peers is less stressed when reading to a dog.

Monday, November 26th at 6 PM Hatch Public Library's monthly computer course will be on MP3 Players. Stop on by that night to learn more about MP3 Players, music, and the legalities surrounding these controversial items. Find out what Parody, Fair Use, a DJ’s ReMix & YOU have in common. A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
