| How
old do I have to be to get a library card? |
| You must be 6 years
old to get a library card. You must be accompanied by a parent if
you are under 18 years old. |
| What
do I need to get a library card? |
You need a picture ID
and proof of current residence. A driver's license or state ID with
your current address is the easiest way to apply.
If you do not have a photo ID or driver's license you will need TWO of the following: A
checkbook with your current address OR A current lease with you
current address OR a piece of mail postmarked within 30 days and has
your current name and address on it. If you have a PO Box you
must provide proof of your residence. |
| Can
I renew an item? |
| All items can be
renewed once, unless a hold is placed on the item by another patron. |
| How
much are overdue fines? |
DVD & VHS - $1.00 a
day
All other materials - 10 cents a day
**Patrons may accrue up to $2.00 in fines before their borrowing privileges
are revoked. |
| What
are loan periods for items? |
DVDs & VHS
Cassettes have a 1 week loan period
All other items have a 3 week loan period
**Different loan periods may apply for items borrowed from other
libraries or through ILL. |
| How
many DVDs and VHS Cassettes can I check out at one time? |
| You may check out 5
DVDs and 5 VHS Cassettes at one time for a period of one week. |
| How
many books can I check out at one time? |
| You may check out as
many books, magazines, CDs, cassettes as you would like at one time. |
| Can
you fax something for me? |
| We do not have a
public fax machine. Phillips Pharmacy (847-5949) at 123 E. State
Street, Mauston does offer public faxing services. |
| Do
you have a copy machine? |
We have a public copy
machine, the charge per page is:
10 cents for 8 1/2 x 11
15 cents for 8 1/2 x 14
20 cents for 11 x 17
Charge is per copy, not per page (a double-sided 8 1/2 x 11 copy
would be 20 cents) |

public Internet
Access? |
| We have 16
Internet-ready computers and free high-speed wireless Internet

| Do
you accept used/new book donations? |
| Yes, we welcome and
appreciate donations of you gently used or new books, CDs, Videos,
Puzzles and
DVDs. They are accepted with the understanding that if we
don't have a need for them in our collection, they will be used in
the Semi-Annual Hatch Friends Book Sale. |
