The Heritage Room

The Heritage room in Mauston contains local newspapers on microfilm, Mauston High School yearbooks as well as other archival material. We have a computer dedicated for genealogical research with access to Ancestry.com & Heritagequestonline.com (provided by Badgerlink) a microfilm reader, and an Optelec "Video Magnifier", a device that magnifies fine print.

Our Heritage Room also houses the Prosser-McCafferty Collection that includes bibliographical sketches, cemetery guides, family histories, abstracts, lists of marriages, births and deaths from the 1700s on for many east coast states.
